The Hidden Series – wow!

I admit, this is a big push, so if you hate that kind of thing stop reading now, but I hope you’ll carry on reading.

My historical mystery thriller series The Hidden has been rereleased with new covers by 8dpress in Edinburgh, Scotland. I love the covers, love what 8dpress has done with the series. It’s always exciting for an author to feel fabulous about their own book covers. Let me know what you think. You can view, read reviews, download samples and buy the books here.

If you love films like The English Patient, The Mummy with Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz, Raiders of the Lost Ark and Indiana Jones series, then you’ll love my series The Hidden. It’s got the lot; action, adventure, spy intrigue, mystery, sex, exotic settings and a page-turning plot-line. The Hidden Series is made up of four books, including one novella.

The first is The Parchment Notebook which introduces my protagonist, Hezba Sultan, whose story is now playing out on Instagram here. You can also join my Facebook page here. I am planning lots of fun stuff for my Facebook page, so I hope you’ll jump on board and like my Instagram and Facebook pages.

Hezba’s story is compelling. It tells of her rejection of the wealth and prestige that she has grown up in and her joining up with the rebel army who are determined to kill off the British who are plundering Egypt and Cairo for their own political gain.

Hezba’s story is compelling. It tells of her rejection of the wealth and prestige that she has grown up in and her joining up with the rebel army who are determined to kill off the British who are plundering Egypt and Cairo for their own political gain.

Hezba is 17. She was forced to marry at the age of 11. She has taken a lover and must leave her palace forever and rip of the veil that shields her from the world. She is determined, passionate, and angry. The year is 1919, and the world is still reeling from the tragedy of World War I. She loves her country, Egypt and is determined to be a part of this new beginning, for Egyptian women, for her country, for the world.

Aimee’s War is the story of her daughter Aimee Ibrahim, educated in France but newly arrived back in Cairo, Egypt, the place of her birth. It’s now World War II and Aimee’s husband has been murdered by a rebel group that wants to bring down the government. Aimee’s life is turned upside down in the process, but not before encountering some tragic and disturbing truths about her past.

The Zephyr is the third in the series. The Zephyr is a novella that sees Aimee escape Cairo, Egypt to London during World War II, and her search for vengeance against the rebel gang leader called The Zephyr who is hiding out in England. Will she be successful?

The Unforgiven is the story of Rana, Aimee’s daughter. It’s now 1968 and Rana escapes a dangerous relationship with a UK politician to tick off her revenge list overseas. First on her list of places to go is Istanbul where she encounters plenty of action in her search for the men who she knows killed her family.

Thanks for reading and please get in touch. I always love hearing from my readers. Love, Jo x
